The manager’s jobs, and how to simplify them
1. Confirm the draw. Put each week’s game — time, court, opponent — in one place everyone can see. No more “what court are we on?” messages.
2. Get availability early. Set a midweek deadline. With a squad of around ten, even two absences can leave you short, and you may need to borrow a player.
3. Share the lineup. Once numbers are known, the coach can set quarter-by-quarter positions. Sharing it before game day helps players arrive ready.
4. Keep parents informed. Arrival times, uniform reminders, duty rosters and schedule changes.
5. Track fairness across the season. Over a season, some players end up with more bench time or fewer positions than others. Tracking it avoids awkward conversations.
