What makes a NZ sports app different?
None of that is exotic, but it is the difference between an app you configure around and one that already fits. Year 5–6 netball played six a side is not an edge case here — it is what most of the country plays.
School year levels, not grades
Squaddie organises players, drills and season programmes by NZ school year level. Approximate ages, since children within a year level span about two birth years.

Squaddie also supports Australian year levels and US grade levels, set per country — so a club running both is not stuck with one system.
Modified junior formats
NZ junior sport uses modified formats heavily, and each has its own name, player count and rule variations. Squaddie carries them as real formats rather than asking you to describe your grade to it, which matters because the rotation maths changes completely: six on court over four quarters is 24 slots, not 28.
Examples across the sports Squaddie supports include netball's futureFERNS pathway, hockey's Sticks programmes (Mini, Kiwi and Kwik Sticks), water polo's Flippa Ball, and small-sided football from five a side upwards. The free rules pages set out the formats and positions for each sport, with the governing bodies they come from.
One caveat worth taking seriously: junior formats are set by regional associations and revised between seasons, so player counts and timings vary by region and year. Your competition handbook is the authority, not us — the rules pages say the same thing and carry a review date.
